As a destination management company, we own the relationships that make a safari work — the camps and lodges, the driver-guides, the open-roof Land Cruisers, the park and conservancy access. That depth lets us promise more than a booking: an accountable team from arrival to departure, and the flexibility to change the plan when the moment calls for it.
Our catalogue spans dozens of properties and curated routes, and it keeps growing. Whether you want a four-night first taste of the Mara or a week tracking the Big Five from Amboseli, the journey is built around you — never a fixed group.

Hodari Africa Safaris is led by its founder and CEO, Samuel Kamau Wangugi, whose career in East Africa's hospitality and travel industry spans well over a decade — since 2011. From the front line of hospitality to the design of end-to-end safaris, he has spent that time building the supplier relationships, the standards and the eye for detail that the company now runs on.
That depth is exactly why Hodari operates as a destination management company rather than a reseller: the camps, the driver-guides and the vehicles are relationships earned over years on the ground — not a catalogue bought off a shelf. Every journey carries that experience.
