How it works

Three steps from idea to the open plains.

01

Tell us who's travelling

Share who's coming, rough dates and what you'd love to see. No forms-in-triplicate — a few lines is enough to start.

02

We craft your journey

A specialist designs a private itinerary — camps, routing and timing chosen for you — with clear, indicative pricing.

03

You travel, we run it

From the airport pickup to the last game drive, one accountable team on the ground handles every detail.

Why Hodari

The difference is who's behind the journey.

01

A destination management company

We are on the ground in Kenya — not a reseller. Every camp, guide and vehicle is one we know and stand behind.

02

Private, open-roof 4×4s

Your own Land Cruiser and resident driver-guide throughout, so the day moves at your pace, never the group's.

03

Built for the trade

Travel agents and operators earn competitive commissions and revenue share — backed by a quote tool that does the work.

04

Built for the great moments

Naivasha's lakes, Amboseli's elephants beneath Kilimanjaro, and the Mara's big cats — sequenced with intent.

Plan with a real specialist

Every Hodari journey is shaped by people who live and guide in East Africa — not a call centre. Tell us who's travelling and what they love, and we'll design it around them.

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go on safari in Kenya?

Kenya is a year-round destination. The dry seasons (June–October and January–February) offer the easiest game viewing, and the Great Migration is typically in the Masai Mara from July to October. Green-season months are quieter and beautiful for photography.

What's included in a Hodari safari?

Our journeys include a private 4×4 open-roof Land Cruiser with a professional driver-guide, accommodation on your chosen star tier, all park and conservancy fees, and the activities listed in your itinerary. International flights and visas are excluded. We confirm exact inclusions before you book.

How much does a safari cost?

Our 2026 Kenya packages start from around USD 1,475 per adult and prices fall as your group grows, since you share a private vehicle. Tailor-made journeys are quoted to your exact plans — tell us who's travelling and we'll send indicative pricing.

Is it private, or will I share with other travellers?

Every Hodari journey is a private departure. You have your own vehicle, your own driver-guide and your own pace — never a fixed group on a coach.

Is a safari suitable for families with children?

Yes. Because every trip is private and tailor-made, we adapt the pace, drive times and camps to suit families. Tell us the ages of the children travelling and we'll build the journey around them.

Do I need vaccinations or anti-malarials?

Most safari areas are malaria regions, so anti-malarials are usually recommended, and some vaccinations may apply. Requirements depend on your home country and route — please consult a travel clinic, and we'll advise on what's relevant to your itinerary.
